Recreational route – Shanghai Disneyland

Disney theme parks, amusement parks where parents and children can have fun together, are always inspiring a spirit of happiness, innocence and the sharing of memory-making experiences. Now, Shanghai Disney Resort continues the tradition in new and unique ways, and guests of all ages will have the chance to enjoy themselves again and again!

Apart from this, you can also relax by the Wishing Star Lake, a name originating from the Disney animation movie The Adventures of Pinocchio, enjoy outdoor activities at the ecological garden, experience flower-filled fields at the herb garden and do some shopping in Shanghai Village.

Healthy route – Shanghai Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Shanghai Museum of TCM in Pudong New District, is a good place to experience the history and culture of TCM. In combination with TCM theory, the museum provides information through important historical events. There are also several thematic exhibition halls featuring TCM therapies like acupuncture and moxibustion, health cultivation and rehabilitation, as well as rare TCM specimen such as musk, ginseng and lucid ganoderma. There is even a botanical garden supplementing the museum, with all kinds of medicinal plants in it.

Taking a bus sightseeing tour that is created around a thoughtfully designed route, you can enjoy the key places of interest in Shanghai, such as the Bund, a world famous waterfront stretching along the western bank of the Huangpu River featuring magnificent 19th and 20th century architecture; the Oriental Pearl Television Tower, a distinctive building rising 468 meters above the Huangpu River, where you can get fantastic views over the whole city; and the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, a main shopping area and commercial center of the city, where you can experience the cosmopolitan nature of the city and enjoy the brightly lit neon signs at night.

Carnival route – Sheshan summer carnival season

What is the coolest way to experience the summer in Shanghai? It must be attending the Sheshan Summer Carnival season in the Sheshan Mountain National Holiday Zone. Lasting for 68 days from June 25 to Aug 31, the carnival provides you with various types of entertainment, covering amusements like water pistol games and shows, family outdoor activities, car racing and exotic food festivals.

Ecological route – Chongming Island

Chongming Island, known as the gateway to the Yangtze River, is the third largest island in China after Taiwan Island and Hainan Island. Located in the subtropics of the Northern Hemisphere, Chongming has a typical mild and humid maritime climate, boasting an average summer temperature three to five degrees lower than downtown Shanghai. Various scenic attractions are available to you, including the Xisha Wetland and the Pearl Lake Park, located in the core area of the National Geological Park. This is the only place in Shanghai that you can get a view of the natural morning and evening tides, as well as the Dongping National Forest Park, the largest man-made forest in East China where you can enjoy the shade and quiet.

Costal route – Fengxian Bay Tourism Zone

Fengxian Bay Tourism Zone, located in the south of Shanghai about 40 kilometers away from downtown, features a coastal line of 13.7 km extending from east to the west. There are historical and modern landscapes, such as Huating Dongshitang, a masonry dam built in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). This is now a landmark in memory of the spirit of ancestors fighting against natural disasters. Also available to see is the Fisherman’s Wharf, a comprehensive recreation center integrating oceanic and local fishing culture.
