Daxue Road in Yangpu district, connecting famous universities and creative industry bases, has been an emerging cultural hub for the younger generation.

Different from the traditional Christmas atmosphere, the road is now decorated with 100 adorable fortune cats, travelling afar from countries all over the world.

Standing quietly along the road, the cats feature bright colors, cute expressions and distinctive shapes, while generously sending best wishes to those passing by.

Each of them is on behalf of a country, a constellation or an animal of the year, and foremost, all with "yi wan liang" (meaning countless treasure in Chinese) written on their chubby bellies, which is also a symbol of wealth in China!

Eye-catching Graffiti featuring animals and cartoons, another cultural mark of Daxue Road, is also in perfect complement with the cats.
