Shanghai University (SHU) has signed a deal to strengthen cooperation with its alumni enterprise, Labcare Scientific China Limited. The two organizations have agreed to work together more closely on international education projects.

More than 30 university leaders, Labcare managers, teachers and overseas students attended the signing ceremony held at the Baoshan Science Park in Shanghai on Jan 8.

A leading scientific instrument, equipment and supplies company, Labcare is renowned for its commitment to providing opportunities to students and was named a "Shanghai International Students Practice Base" in November 2016.

Yao Ximing, dean of the College of International Exchange at SHU, expressed his gratitude for Labcare's dedication to international education, as well as his expectations regarding student training, in both practical skills and cultural knowledge.

Xu Xinyuan, president of Labcare, introduced the company's plans in student training, and promised to set up internships regularly and recruit graduates from colleges and universities around Shanghai.

Lan Huong, a Vietnamese student who studied at SHU, also shared his internship experience at Labcare.

It is hoped that the cooperation between SHU and Labcare will not only improve the students' competitiveness, but also attract more talented people to start businesses in Shanghai.
