The first photography and art exhibition for international students at Tongji University in Shanghai drew to a close on Jan 4.

Themed "Colorful Tongji", the exhibition inspired the imaginations of students, who vibrantly displayed their artistic talents for the university.

After receiving dozens of paintings and photography works during the submission period from Dec 1 to 16, 2016, an exhibition was held to showcase the selected entries. Votes were collected at the exhibition to decide the winners for the best received works.

Wu Jiang, managing vice-president of Tongji University, praised the students for their active participation and nice work. He also extended his hope for more cultural activities in the future.

After voting closed on Dec 28, 2016, the contest awarded a number of entries, including two first prizes for the painting group and the photography group respectively.
