With the warm arrival of spring, the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) carried out an international food festival for students on its Songjiang Campus on March 8.

The festival attracted scores of students from some 10 countries, including Russia, Chile, Venezuela, Uzbekistan and Mongolia, each sharing with others the culinary specialties from their homelands.

The students were warmly welcomed by the savory foods and the historical background accompanying the dishes. A number of excellent singing and dancing performances also displayed unique international traditions and folk customs at the festival.

This was the second time for SUIBE to set up the international food festival, hoping to provide a school tradition for students to have a taste of other distinctive cultures.
