Fudan University held a competition to find the college's best international student group on March 14.

Teachers from the school's international student service center and several student representatives attended the contest, which was designed to promote exchanges between Chinese and overseas students.

Attracting 13 student groups to enter, the competition got underway with presentations and videos introducing each organization's structure, operations, financial situation and future prospects.

The judges were most impressed by the colorful activities held last year, from multiple cultural trips across China to various heart-warming voluntary events, which not only provided the students with opportunities to broaden their horizons, but also helped them develop teamwork skills.

The judges also spoke highly of the unions' novel usage of new media, such as the popular social media channels Weibo and WeChat, to help organize and promote various activities.

After careful consideration, nine unions finally shared the first, second and third place prizes, with the two unions from Japan and Malaysia winning the top award. A group of student representatives were also awarded for their dedication and hard work throughout the year.
