A sharing salon to help overseas students studying at Fudan University gain some expertise got underway on April 13.

Organized by the international student office of Fudan, the salon invited Mei Yuan, founder and head of Beijing Qicai Muzhi Technology Co, to share his early experiences in business with the students.

Moving from his initial inspiration to the difficulties and challenges he has met Mei aroused great interest among the students, and patiently answered their questions.

The students were most curious about the app Global Translator, the featured product of Mei's company, which can solve multiple overseas language problems by providing real-time two-way speech translation between Simplified and Traditional Chinese, English, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Thai.

Chinese language beginners, the students actively tried out the app and regarded it as very helpful translating from English to Chinese.

The students were also given a chance to take field trips and practical courses at Mei’s company.
