Shanghai Polytechnic University (SSPU) is striving to strengthen its German ties on vocational education as the school signed cooperation agreements with four organizations, such as the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, a leading independent institute for advanced study on May 9.

Yu Tao, president of SSPU, briefed the guests about the school's endeavor in recruiting more talented overseas students.

He said aside from joining hands with 60 schools and organizations from Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia, SSPU also looks forward to becoming a partner with German applied science universities and draw lessons from the dual system programs – integrating education and training.

The German representatives look forward to a bright future of collaboration, and promise to carry out long-term training programs for both Chinese and German students.

Since SSPU stressed concern for promoting cooperation with German schools on vocational education in 2015, the school has set up three related training centers and is expected to become a testing center for skill certificates issued by the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg.
