The series of lectures on promoting cultures of countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative drew to an end at East China University of Science and Technology on June 6.

Organized by the college of international education, the lectures, with the first two sessions kicking off on April 27 and May 16 respectively, invited nine students from countries such as Egypt, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Turkey, to share their motherlands' history, culture, customs, and Chinese bonds.

The speakers' elaborate preparation and intriguing talks won them warm responses from the audience. They had lively discussions with each other, exchanged ideas on heated issues, and shared the historical origins and solid relationship between China and various Belt and Road countries.

The speakers were also awarded a certificate of honor, praising their active participation in various cultural activities on the campus, and dedication to building up an open campus atmosphere and promoting exchanges between China and foreign countries.
