International students say goodbye to alma mater

Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) held a commencement for overseas students studying at the school of Chinese studies and exchange on June 9.

University officials, including Vice President Yang Li, extended their congratulations to the graduated students. They also looked forward to the students' continuous efforts in promoting friendship and exchanges between China and foreign countries.

A group of student representatives expressed their gratitude to SISU for providing them with helpful classes, a colorful campus life, and enjoyable tours around Shanghai and China, which not only enriched their academic knowledge but also gave them all-round exposure to China's varying culture.

A total of 113 students, majoring in Chinese language and International economics and trade, were awarded a bachelor's degree at the ceremony.

Some of them were also given honorary prizes in recognition of their diligent learning, academic achievements, and masterful theses.
