Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) welcomed a group of 87 students from nine countries to enjoy a summer camp in Shanghai on June 27.

The students are mainly members of the Konkuk University and Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea, and the Short-term Chinese Government Scholarship Scheme targeting Britain.

They received a warm welcome from Chinese and overseas university officials to their living and studying at SUFE.

During their stay in China, the students will take part in professional Chinese language learning courses, attend practice tests for HSK (Chinese proficiency tests), and make various cultural visits to Shanghai and surrounding areas.

In particular, they will visit the Chinese business culture experience center at SUFE to get a deeper understanding of China, enhance their social skills in business activities, and learn how to avoid embarrassments during intercultural exchanges.

SUFE is popular among overseas students as a variety of summer programs are already on the schedule, including the annual Chinese business program at the Shanghai Summer School, summer camps inviting students from the Confucius Institutes at the Tallinn University in Estonia and the Queen Mary University of London, and the East Asia economic program featuring students from Matsuyama University in Japan.
