Thousands of overseas students and officials attended a party in Guiyang, Guizhou province, on July 27 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the China ASEAN Education Cooperation Week.

For 10 years, the China-ASEAN Week program has fostered youth exchanges and the expansion of educational institutes.

Eye-catching performances, including a traditional Philippine dance troupe and chorus accompanied the festivities.

The opening of the China-ASEAN Educational Cooperation Week attracted over 2,000 experts and officials, seeking to expand cooperation on July 28. The ceremonies were co-organized by the ministries of foreign affairs and education, and the Guizhou government in the Guian New Area.

Seventy-four ASEAN and 44 Chinese teachers and students took part in a China-ASEAN Youth Forum, hosted by the China Scholarship Council, held at Guizhou University on July 29.

Quero Riena Joie Moreno, a junior at ECNU from the Philippines, said at the forum that she had adapted to studying and life in China, although the two countries' cultures contain vast differences.

This year's celebrations enchanted visitors and enhanced friendships between China and ASEAN countries.
