A team of 20 professors and 80 students from 11 universities conducted a comprehensive investigation in Hangzhou from July 22 to Aug 2 to advise the city on its urban planning for the 2022 Asian Games.

During the 12-day project, the team of scholars divided into 9 groups focusing on different aspects of the planning for the games, ranging from smart infrastructure to public transport-oriented development. A total of 10 related forums and academic lectures were also held.

After completing their field research, the groups set about preparing design plans. In their first conference to discuss their ideas, they discussed diverse plans before choosing the most workable one.

Then, on the last day of the program, they presented their final plans in the forms of exhibition boards, models and renderings.
