A group of 97 students from the UK completed their Chinese language and culture exchange program at East China Normal University (ECNU) on Aug 26.

The three-week program treated the youngsters to various aspects of China. They tried their hands at practicing Chinese calligraphy, as well taking on several excursions around Shanghai and the satellite cities.

The program aroused great interest among the students to learn Chinese and delve into China. They also expressed their gratitude for ECNU's thoughtful arrangements over the weeks.

ECNU and the University of Manchester joined hands to initiate the program in 2008. The British government sponsored the program. Since 2008, ten groups of over 1,200 excellent students from various British colleges have visited China.
