International Economics and Trade, the first English-taught undergraduate program at Shanghai-based East China University of Science and Technology, recently welcomed 68 new students.

The internationally oriented program attracted a group of 18 overseas students from 12 countries including the UK, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Kazakhstan and South Korea.

The program, with its professional courses realizing a complete English-taught environment last year, featured a new coverage of all basic courses to be delivered in English, such as Advanced Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Computer Basis, and Multimedia Technologies.

For over two years, East China University of Science and Technology has made thorough preparations for the new program. The program, which is based on global economic integration and China's foreign trade development, aims to cultivate multi-talent graduates with academic advantage, practical skills, and language proficiency.
