Shanghai University strengthened its relations with the local exit-entry administration bureau as the two sides signed an agreement for deeper cooperation on Oct 16.

Gong Siyi, a top official at Shanghai University, extended her expectations for the cooperation.

"The ever-welcoming environment at Shanghai University has made it more attractive to overseas students and scholars, the exit-entry bureau is also offering them considerable help and services; I just hope our two sides can find more interests in common and promote our cooperation to a new level," Gong said.

Xu Jun, deputy director at the local exit-entry administration bureau, said he was satisfied with the two sides' sound and stable relations over the years.

"We will strive hard to develop a tidy, orderly and safe environment for foreigners," Xu said.

The officials also visited the Shanghai Vancouver Film School, which is affiliated to Shanghai University and features an all-round entertainment arts program, a well balanced industry-led theories and hands-on productions.
