East China Normal University's second global business project opened on Oct 11, attracting 50 Chinese and overseas students interested in professional advancement.

To promote more business discussion among students, increase their hands-on experience and create a more open academic environment, the program has attracted support from the school's international students' office, college of economics and management and the local branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Wang Lu, a manager at the Shanghai branch of ICBC, looked back on last year's fruitful program and briefed the students about what to expect this year.

The program encourages more exchanges between Chinese and overseas students, building an English-immersive environment resulting in high-quality and tailored education for every student.

In addition to the standard group discussions, guest lectures and company visits, the program invited participants to collaborate on an innovative financial product.

The students also participated in ice-breaking activities, passing through hula hoops, paper cutting, puzzles and collaborative painting. These activities helped ease the atmosphere and made students more comfortable with each other.
