The Second Bauhinia Valley Innovation and Entrepreneurship Camp, held by the Tongji University and the Bauhinia Valley Innovation and Development Center, launched on Jan 6.

Some 75 entrepreneurs and graduates from Tongji University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Chung Hua University and Macao University of Science and Technology attended the event.

The new edition took advantage of the first camp in June 2017, which has successfully conceived 15 commercial programs, while paying more attention to the youth groups, their entrepreneurial visions, and the curriculum settings.

The participants will get a "one-stop" entrepreneurial guidance, including seven keynote speeches, four workshops, three development trainings, and two social surveys.

Industry leaders from Shanghai Tower, Jupai Holdings, and You+ International Youth Community will share their visions on youth innovation and entrepreneurship, and deliver speeches interpreting China’s related policies, or introducing how to generate design ideas into innovative impetus, and how to develop creative thinking into business models.

The youngsters will team up, brainstorm on various entrepreneurial possibilities, and use road shows to share how their ideas are conceived, processed, and finally put into practice.

The Bauhinia Valley Innovation and Development Center was formed in April 2016, led by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. The center is a network and association composed of not only Hong-Kong based, but also domestic and overseas Chinese-owned businesses. It is also supported by various groups in Hong Kong and different state departments.

The center, aiming to further promote innovation and entrepreneurship, supports the innovative, scientific, and technological pursuits of small businesses and young people in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao.
