The Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University held a forum on May 15, to discuss the development and management of international talents.

Home to numerous figures who are active in the global business arena, ACEM takes the forum as a school tradition, aiming to usher more open discussions among participants and inspiring them with more creative ideas on the healthy and steady development of foreign students.

The forum involved ACEM officials and some 30 industrial representatives.

Tang Yuning, deputy dean of ACEM, exemplified the college's efforts in strengthening its international education. She looked back on the achievements and setbacks the school has realized and met in developing its Master of International Business (MIB) program over the past five years, and set new goals concerning its mission, admission policy, academic breakthroughs and innovative development.

Rakhat Atchibayeva, a MIB graduate at ACEM, shared his study experiences at the school and his conclusions about seeking a desirable job in China.

Industrial participants also shared their ideas on how to bring out the full potential of international employees to better boost their professional development. Huang Youlu, a senior human resources manager from tech giant Huawei, explained the enterprise's practices in looking for the right staff members and how it has guided Huawei employees to acclimatize overseas.

The MIB program at ACEM features an English-immersive environment and requires two years of full-time study. The program has developed as a trump card of ACEM and attracts hundreds of international students every year.
