The Chinese culinary program at Shanghai Polytechnic University's 2018 Shanghai Summer School proved to be very popular.

The school started June 28, and will last until July 14.

On July 2, students visited the Jing'an InterContinental Hotel, refreshing their images of China's first-class hotels and getting enlightened by its infusion of aesthetic ideas into hotel management.

General manager Ji Dongming's views on integrating service with different themes have aroused great interest among the students. Ji told the students he believed the various cultural, emotional and aesthetic feelings infused into the hotel's services will definitely leave guests with lingering impressions.

The students were also treated to fragrant black tea, rich-flavored black chocolate, and elaborately prepared local specialties. They also enjoyed relaxing, soft music at various times during their visit.

The students expressed gratitude for the hotel’s generous welcome, raised many questions, and said they hoped to have more close contacts with Chinese cuisine and China's hotel culture in the future.
