A joint film panorama of works created by students from Shanghai Theater Academy (STA) and the Spanish Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC) got underway at the Chinese campus from July 9 to 14.

Professors Aritz Lekuona Alonso and Diego Alberto Vega Vidal shared their feelings and experiences on Spanish films, with topics ranging from play writing and shooting to post production.

The professors' explanations on how the initial inspiration of making a film was conceived and shaped aroused great interest among the students. They also used videos and pictures to restage the creation process.

Students were divided into several groups for script writing, while the professors acted as producers and gave them practical suggestions.

A total of eight films were screened, four from China and four from Spain. Student film makers shared their joys and sorrows in making the films, and also won thumbs-up from the professors.

The event laid a solid foundation for STA and ESCAC carrying out more cooperation in the future. The two schools agreed to establish closer ties to promote exchanges and integration between Chinese and Spanish film cultures.
