A delegation led by Yin Yicui, director of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, visited the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia on Sept 7.

Peter Pook Chuen Keat, deputy vice-chancellor of IMU, welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the cooperation it carried out with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM), which after years was yielded as cultivating numbers of TCM professionals and setting up a specialized TCM clinic in Malaysia.

Yin was glad to see the two schools maintaining sound relationship and gave thumbs-up to their fruitful achievements, such as SHUTCM sending veteran teachers to IMU and providing students there with learning opportunities at the Shanghai campus.

On behalf of the Shanghai municipal government and its people, Yin donated a list of TCM books to IMU, aiming to enrich the school's cultural resources and meet its need for TCM education and exchanges. The delegation then toured around the Malaysian campus.

IMU is Malaysia's first and most established private university on medical and health sciences. It has been dedicated to healthcare education for 26 years.
