Roughly 100 international students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University embarked on a cultural exploring trip around the eastern metropolis on Oct 10.

At a specialized museum, students learned about the life of Lu Xun. The museum was renovated from the noted writer's former residence in Shanghai and has witnessed the last four years of his life.

The Bund which stands back against the Huangpu River and is dotted with a complex of architectures of varied styles introduced students to Shanghai's enchanting history and culture, and embraced the youngsters with prosperity and openness.

At the Shanghai Museum, a cultural local landscape, the students were on one hand impressed by the abundance and quality of its ancient Chinese artistic collections, while on the other amazed at the premises, which embodied a time-honored idea of round sky and square earth.

The students marveled at Shanghai and the country's history and development and looked forward to discovering more aspects of the city.
