Professor and deputy dean of the university’s college of marine sciences

Gao Guoping has conducted a number of marine and field surveys, including a feasibility study on the first nuclear power plant in Shandong province, an East China Sea survey under Sino-Japan cooperation, and China’s Arctic and Antarctic expeditions. He has participated in a number of research projects.

吕利群.jpgLv Liqun

Professor and doctoral advisor in aquaculture science of the university's College of fisheries and life science

Lu Liqun helped establish the Aquatic Animal Infectious Disease Laboratory of Shanghai Ocean University. He is also a member of several academic committees, including those organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and China Society of Fisheries.

Lu has handled one project sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published about 20 academic papers.

Lu Weiqun has been interested in adaptive physiology, stress biology, the biological clock and other related studies. He has handled several research projects, including those sponsored by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council of the UK, the Sixth and Seventh Framework Programmes for Research of the EU, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Lu has published 27 academic papers on international journals such as Current Biology, PNAS and Endocrinology.

Professor, doctoral advisor

Chen Lanming mainly focuses on the study of food quality and safety, as well as marine microbiology resource exploitation and utilization. She has over eight research experiences at three overseas universities: the University of Copenhagen, the University College Cork and the University of Wolverhampton.

Chen has published over 20 academic papers in authoritative journals including Nature and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA. She was invited 11 times to deliver reports at international academic conferences.

chenliangbiao.jpgChen Liangbiao

Professor, doctoral advisor

Chen Liangbiao was selected as a member of the “100 Talents Program” (a high-end talent introduction and training plan of the Chinese Academy of Science) in 2004 and was supported by the National Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2006. His achievements in the research of the origin of fish antifreeze genes and the evolution of the fish genome in extreme environments are well recognized in the world.

Chen has published dozens of papers of academic significance in authoritative journals such as Nature, PANS and Molecular Biology and Evolution. To date, he has cultivated more than 20 doctors and postgraduate students.

Professor

Han Xingyong has handled over 10 research projects on the economy and culture of fishing, including those sponsored by Shanghai’s Education Committee, the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture.

Up till now, Han has published two books. One of them is a monograph concerning the fishing villages’ social and economic history. He has also published 21 academic papers.

Professor, doctoral advisor

He Peimin has handled more than 30 research projects since 1987, including those supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), and some based on China-foreign cooperation. He was also actively in Chinese and international academic conferences with important reports.

Based on his research, he has published over 200 academic papers, with more than 30 of them included by the Science Citation Index. More than 40 of his research results have been used to apply for patents, and 20 of these were approved.

PhD, professor

Jiang Qijun has handled, and participated in, over 10 research projects including those with support from the Ministry of Commerce and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

Based on his research on corporate related topics, like corporate social responsibility and human resources, he has published more than 40 academic papers in journals, including Asia Pacific Business Review and Chinese Industrial Economics.

Jiang was also the author of three monographs.

Professor, doctoral advisor

Li Jiale was, and is, engaging in five research projects in the past three years, including a project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one supported by the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program).

From 2010 to 2013, Li completed 57 academic papers and published them, as well as one textbook. Base on his research, 11 of his patents were approved, while another 14 research results have been used to apply for patents.

Liu Liping is working actively in the field of Aquaculture research. Liu has handled a variety of domestic and international research projects. In recent years, he has chaired and participated in the research of 12 projects, which were sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development, the Seventh EU Framework Programme and the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars.

Professor and deputy dean of the school of information
