Profile

Founded in 1917, the university was established as a Chinese leading higher educational institution of business and finance, with a range of disciplines covering science, law, philosophy and humanities. 

It consists of four campuses respectively in Guoding Road, Zhongshan Beiyi Road, Wuchuan Road and Wudong Road.  

The school offers 37 undergraduate programs, 85 master’s degree programs and 90 doctoral programs. The MBA and EMBA programs were the first to offer them in China. It is also one of the few universities in China with post-doctoral research centers in the fields of Economics and Management.  

The school has 1,019 faculty members, of which 541 are professors. It has enrolled 13,537 full-time students, 1,022 of whom are international students. 

The International Student Society was set up by those overseas students from various countries, being a link between university students and teachers.

Requirements

Undergraduate Program  

Foreign applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 45, a senior high school graduate or above, new HSK level 5 certified, and in good physical health.

Postgraduate  Program

Foreign applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 45, a university graduate with a bachelor’s degree, new HSK level 5 certified, and in good physical health.
PhD Program
Foreign applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 45, a university graduate with a master’s degree, new HSK level 5 certified, and in good physical health.
Chinese Language Program
Foreign applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 60, and in good physical health.

Undergraduate Programs

You can apply for as many as two majors. If you do not get into the one you applied for, you could enter another, so be sure to say whether you would accept another when applying.

Finance
This program is teaches students about banking while improving their English language skills. Graduates can look for work in finance or banking, or teaching or research in related fields.

Master’s and Ph D programs are available.

Principles of Money and Banking, International Finance, Bank Management, Portfolio Investment, and Accounting.

Business Administration
This program gives student a good understanding of economic theories and business management globally.

Graduates can work in businesses, enterprises, or foreign trade, as well as financial institutions or in the public sector.

Management, Marketing, Production and Operations Management, and E-Commerce

International Economy and Trade
This program helps students lay a solid foundation for international trade while improving their English proficiency.
They can find work with a foreign company, in the public sector, or can go into teaching or research in related fields.

General
International students with a high school diploma can take courses from the international cultural exchange school. All courses are in Chinese.

Advanced
